the badges for Hogwarts Legacy have been revealed, and while they look similar to the badges seen in the books and movies, they’re not exactly the same. The reveal comes via the WB Games Avalanche Twitter account, also known as the official Twitter account of the developer behind the game. In the recent game show, Harry Potter Fans teased the common rooms of the four houses, but were unable to see the house insignia. In other words, this is the first look.
As you can see from the tweet below, the badges are still recognizable, but there are changes. For example, in the Hufflepuff badge, the badger faces the opposite way compared to the Hufflepuff badge in the books and movies. Of course, some fans were offended by the subtle changes, but it’s important to remember that the events of the game take place 100 years before the events of the books and movies, so it’s reasonable to expect revisions to the badges in between. so. And, of course, the game’s art team will want to take every opportunity they can to put their own unique spin on what is very much a very well-crafted art direction set by the books and movies.
